Control rich text content with precision using the Lotus C API
by Ethann Castell

from THE VIEW, November/December 2007, Volume 13, Issue 6

Gain control over the fine details of elements within rich text by using the Lotus C API. This second of a two-part series explains the architecture of rich text items and techniques to manipulate their component elements. Explore the rich text architecture with three progressive programs (provided at THE VIEW Web site) that build on a Lotus C API routine. By adjusting the programs, you can reveal the compound document records and their order within a specified item and break the records into components (an undocumented operation). You can then programmatically modify, delete, or augment the records.
