Available in Domino Release 4.6, the new Web Administration tool provides a fresh new face for valuable information about the Domino server that until now was available only from the Notes client or server console. By combining the best Web user interface features — easy access, visual appeal, and ease of use — with Domino Web server capabilities, the Web Admin tool allows administrators to manage database ACLs, manage users and groups, monitor mail, and view statistics and other server information. Using easy-to-read pie charts, dials, and graphs, the Web Admin tool provides information that can be understood at a glance. Because it’s built on the existing Notes paradigm, administrators will feel like they already know how to use it. In this article, the lead developer of the Web Admin tool shows you what it can do, and how server administration from a Web browser is both similar to, and different from, administration from a Notes client.
