The new document locking functionality in Notes/Domino 6 can alleviate save and replication conflicts in your environment. Before you deploy it, however, there are some new issues and requirements to address. To help you make informed decisions for a successful implementation, this article explains the out-of-the-box functionality, what’s happening behind the scenes when documents are locked and unlocked, things to watch out for, and what you still need to customize.
