Learn new methods for incorporating Microsoft Word into your Notes applications using the Domino R5 header feature, LotusScript, a few COM objects, and some simple, but little-known, OLE techniques. This article teaches you how to design a Domino form that opens Word within the form, allow users to activate Word in the form only when they need it, open Word to a template selected by the end user, and automatically replace text in a Word document with data stored in Domino fields and views. The demo database that illustrates these techniques is available for download from THE VIEW’s Web site (www.eVIEW.com).
